If you are out of your free update period and did not make  backup software while you were still within it,  you are likely SOL and have to buy an update. I think while still within update period , you might actually be better off retiring a known working SD card as your backup software and using the new SD card  with every thing re downloaded via the PC Suite one car make at a time, providing you are still within the free update period. A good rule of caution is  Once the update period is within 30 days of expiration, if what you have on it  is working DO NOT EVER CLICK ON THE UPDATE TAB ON TOOL AGAIN AND AVOID GOING TO ANY SITE ON THE INTERNET. IT CAN FREEZE UP , MAYBE WIFI SHOULD BE DISCONNECTED EVEN IF YOU LOSE WIFI PRINTING, I take pictures of screen with my smart phone usually anyway versus printing.
